Ubuntu Firefox 3.5 update

I've switched to 3.5 as my main Firefox (using Google Chrome / Chromium Web Browser as well). Just needed to update the symlink in /usr/bin/firefox so that applications using the system default browser were opening the right version of Firefox.

$ sudo rm /usr/bin/firefox
$ sudo ln -s /usr/bin/firefox-3.5 /usr/bin/firefox

do your plugins (flash, etc.) all work properly? i tried this but the flash plugin, although installed for 3.0, couldn't be seen by 3.5

Some extensions aren't there yet, but I can live with that. Flash seems OK as far as I can tell, but I'm not a big Flash user and tend to avoid it apart from flv.

Every time I install it, it still runs as shiretoko (beta) , How did you get the release version running, isthere a different server?

Description: safe and easy web browser from Mozilla
Firefox delivers safe, easy web browsing. A familiar user interface, enhanced security features including protection from online identity theft, and integrated search let you get the most out of the web.

It originally was a beta, but has updated since I first started using it.

It calls itself Shiretoko and has that as the User-Agent as well. User-Agent switcher can fix that if it's a problem for you.
